Art is inspiring, has a unique way of speaking to communities. My work mainly focuses on bridging the gap between Art and Mental health.

My Work in GMHRC

My work in Gefersa mental health rehabilitation center, gives patients new opportunities to work on their health and has shown positive outcome. Mainly the work I did there could be broken down into three:

Story Telling

Photographs are small pieces of art that has the power to speak to everyone. I use that same power to create space for patients at GMHRC. Feel free to read stories of people sharing their experiences in the link below.

Gardening

Art of gardening, where every flower nurtured creates beauty and harmony in our surroundings. Through this rewarding activity, we not only learn the importance of teamwork but also gain insights into how our environment shapes us

Painting

A simple brush and bright colors and working on those images is therapeutic on its own. Feel free to look into our gallery of paintings made by patients in GMHRC.

Story Time

Here are stories shared by people about their experiences while viewing a nostalgic photograph.
